WELCOME TO ZIGOZAGO!
ZigoZago is a small studio store filled with yarn gorgeousness, located near the historic town of Castlemaine in Central Victoria. An easy 90min drive from Melbourne with plenty of great cafes, vintage stores and natural scenic interest spots. If you are interested in travelling to Castlemaine by train, please let us know, as we may be able to arrange train station pick up ;)
ZigoZago is an inclusive business situated with respect in DjaDja Wurrung Country. All events and activities associated with ZigoZago are held in the spirit of anti-bias, inclusivity and respect for all. We aim to provide an inclusive environment for all fibre creatives. Please note that any behaviour or language that is discriminatory with regards to race, culture, religion, ability, sexual identity, employment or financial status, size or age will not be tolerated.
At ZigoZago we welcome people from all spectrums; religious, political, socio-economic, ability, sexual orientation, employment status, size or age, but if your beliefs are harmful toward marginalised people, you are not welcome to share them here in any fashion in our studio, social media spaces and market/event stalls or social crafting get togethers hosted by ZigoZago.

Our commitment to giving back to the community means charitable donations have been made to:
Oxfam Australia International Crisis Fund and Save The Children Fund Australia.
Completed knitwear items have been raffled to raise funds for #Kick Brain Cancer in support of Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
The Share the dignity #itsinthebag campaign 2019 saw an amazing group of people collecting toiletry items for homeless women and children.
Dry July 2019 where donations were made to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre.
During 2019, a raffle was held in collaboration with Ambah O'Brien where all funds were donated to the wonderful organisation, Orphfund. ( now known as I am Someone www.iamsomeone.org.au
During January 2020 15% of all sales were donated to Red Cross Disaster and Recovery Relief.
Our 'hearts on fire' raffle raised $300 for https://djirra.org.au and $300 for https://www.indigenousliteracyfoundation.org.au
A raffle held in 2021 included donations of an Ambah O'brien Orianna shawl knitted by Chris Warren, a retreat package donated by Kerrie Lay from Create at Harcourt, a project bag collection donated by Liz from the Crystal Cat Stitchery, a voucher from Goldfields Tack Cafe, project bags from Sammy fromThe Littlest Stitch and locally made items donated by ZigoZago.
This raffle raised $1472 for Safe Steps Victoria https://www.safesteps.org.au
At 'The Big Wool Show' 2021 a ZigoZago completed 'Black death' shawl designed by Hoxton Handmade raised $200 at auction for Ben Quilty's Afghanistan Appeal for @australiaforunhcr. 2022 Big Wool Show Fundraising efforts were directed to #justiceforcassius.
Fundraising efforts of $845 from the 2022 Australian Sheep and Wool Show Supported by @richmondknitters, @thelittleststitch, @ambahobrien, and @crystalcatstitchery were donated to Worawa Aboriginal College
Fundraising efforts of $342 from the 2023 Australian Sheep and Wool Show supported by @ambahobrien, @thelittleststitch, @spincushions, @spangleddrongodolls and @crystalcatstitchery were donated to @iamsomeone_org
Fundraising efforts of $284 from the 2024 Australian Sheep and Wool Show supported by @ambahobrien, @thelittleststitch, , @spangleddrongodolls and @crystalcatstitchery were donated to @berrystreetorg

There are several options available during the week and on weekends for you to visit ZigoZago. You are also welcome to contact me on behalf of your knitting/craft group and I can visit you with a selection of yarn.
